I was reading today about the Helping Profession and how counselor’s are as likely as the general public not to do “self care.” There are many forms of self-care, and one form I learned about when I was working on my Associate’s Degree was that every counselor has a counselor. I have found that through my career, as issues came up, I sought help from a professional.
We at Compassionate Interventions have worked with people in the Helping Profession before, and find that like any other client, as long as rapport is there, the therapeutic alliance can help the client move forward. If you work in the field, and find that some of your “stuff” is coming up, call us today. 503-901-1836.
